Crowe LLP History

The Crowe LLP history is an extensive one. The entity that is today known as Crowe was founded as Horwath & Horwath in 1915 in New York City by two Hungarian immigrants. The firm originally served clients in the hospitality industry, but eventually expanded to offer services in accounting, auditing, and tax. The company became Laventhol & Horwath in 1967 after merging with Laventhol Krekstein Griffith & Co.

A separate firm, Crowe Cizhek, was founded in 1942 in South Bend, IN, offering accounting and related financial advisory services. After the umbrella corporation of Horwath & Horwath International Associates was formed in 1960, the company continued its global growth before changing its name to Horwath International in 1989. Then Crowe Cizhek joined the network in 1991. Horwath International rebranded as Crowe Horwath International in 2009, then shortened the name to Crowe in 2018.

Crowe LLP Interview Questions

The Crowe LLP interview questions are generally similar to other consulting firms. Count on questions inviting you to walk your interviewers through your resume and experience. You can also expect industry-standard behavioral questions, such as:

Tell us about an experience in which you had to deal with failure.
How have you handled conflict or adversity in a leadership position?

Further Crowe LLP interview questions will likely invite you to share some of your skills and industry knowledge, but these do not tend to be very technical, and there is no Crowe LLP case study.

Crowe LLP Firm Interview Process

The Crowe LLP firm interview process may not seem quite as rigorous as many other top consulting firms, which often include multiple rounds of interviews and assessments and challenging case studies.

The Crowe LLP firm interview process, following initial contact/recruitment, typically begins with an initial phone interview that lasts for about 30 minutes. Then there is usually an additional Zoom interview with more senior managers and team members in the area you’re applying to. Sometimes there is a short written assessment between these two interviews, though this is usually not very difficult or technical.

After your second interview, you can expect to receive an offer within a short period of time, usually just a few days. Applicants are also encouraged to make an office visit during this time, if possible.
