Glassdoor Interview Process
Depending on the role you are being considered for, the Glassdoor interview process is likely to be primarily behavioral questions. We would expect you to see a brief phone interview, followed by an interview with someone on the hiring team, and eventually an interview with someone in the leadership group of the team you are recruiting for. At least one of the last two will be over Zoom or in-person.
Glassdoor Phone Interview
You should expect the process to start with a brief phone interview with a recruiter. This will likely take place with someone on the HR team. You should think of this as a standard review of your qualifications and an important opportunity for you and the recruiter to discuss expectations to ensure everyone is aligned. This is also an opportunity to ask any questions around logistics (e.g., timing of the process, expectations for when the job would start).
Glassdoor Video Interview
Next, you can expect a video interview with someone on the hiring team. This can be someone that you’d work directly with or someone in a leadership position within the group (you should expect both at some point, but the order can vary) you are recruiting for. This interview will likely consist mostly of behavioral questions and could be over Zoom or in-person. The best way to prepare for these questions is to practice OUT LOUD! Grab your significant other, best friend, roommate, or sibling and go through your answers with them and ask for feedback. Answering these questions out loud is the BEST way to fine tune your delivery so you can be crisp when it matters most.

Glassdoor Interview Tips
As a rule, our first tip is to prepare, prepare, and prepare some more. Lack of preparation is preparation for failure so start by doing your homework and learn about the company and the group you are recruiting. Next, think about why you want the job and how your skills and competencies align with the needs of the group or organization. After doing some introspection, use the STAR method to develop your stories.
Situation
Start with a brief description of the situation. What is happening, who is involved, what is your role. Paint a picture so your interviewer knows what is going on.
Task
Now that the context is clear, what is your task? This is your chance to tell the interviewer what you were trying to accomplish and why you were doing what you were doing.
Action
This part is key - what action did you take to accomplish the task? This is when you get to talk about yourself (I know, it can be uncomfortable - just lean in). Tell your interviewer all the juicy details about how awesome you were during this situation.
Result
Brag a little. Tell your interviewer about the sweet success you had. Importantly though, if you are telling a story that you didn’t have success in, don’t fret, tell them what you learned instead (when done right, this can be even more powerful than a home run story).
